We didn't teach him that
My family had the privilege to spend a few hours with our close friends and mentors, a couple who have invested in God's kingdom heavily through foreign and local missions. They love us like their own family and it is always a blessing for us.
Our three kids enjoyed playing in their back yard while our friends, my wife, and I talked about all aspects of life. It was the best kind of Sunday afternoon for us.
When it came time to leave, each of our kids said goodbye to our friends. The husband, who is not only that but a 60-something father and grandfather, said goodbye in kind. He is kind, caring, and full of wisdom about God and life. And finally we made it down the line to my 2 year old little boy. And our friend reached out to give my tiny warrior a hug...
My little guy dabbed him and said, "Too cool for you!"
Oy.
