My bad!

My daughter's latest lesson in life comes when I am the one who is the offending party, and she the offended. If I bump her arm, fail to button her shirt, or forget to give her a bath, I say, "I'm sorry!" To which her immediate and loud response is, "I'M SORRY!" I then say, "no sweetie, I'M sorry." And she echoes right back "I'M SORRY!" And then I use the traditional 'my bad' motion of tapping my chest and say again, "no, I'M sorry!" And without fail, she taps her chest and says once again, "I'M SORRY!" I guess it will take a while for her to understand my remorse, but I am touched by the fact that in my accidents and indiscretions she keeps no record of wrongs.
